What is Leave & License?
A Leave and Licence agreement is a document that grants the Licensee with the permission to occupy the Licensor's property. The occupancy is granted on Leave and Licence basis and not on tenancy basis. This Leave & License agreement makes eviction easier and is generally considered to provide the landlord with greater power
When is it used?
This Rental Agreement can be used to create an enforceable agreement between two parties, where one party is making either a residential or commercial space available on rent to another party.
Leave & License or Rental Agreements are usually used when the party who is taking the premises on rent DOES NOT receive any interest whatsoever in the property, and is in simple occupation of the property without any inherent rights to it.
Which other agreements may be relevant to me ?
If the nature of the transaction is such that the person to whom the property is being rented is acquiring some specific interest in the property, you should consider using our 'Lease Agreement' instead.
